Inspired by an internship at Sotheby’s Auction House, this body of work combines the aesthetics of decorative Meissen figurines and medical narratives in a style similar to those of Andreas Vesalius and Florence’s Museo La Specola’s wax collection of human anatomy. Through poses and expressions the pieces exhibit emotions that describe their human lives while also pointing out the biological elements that failed them.
