MG Gallery is an installation space in Oakland that curates and supports a system of interactive projects. As directors, Kari Marboe and Adam Green are interested in fostering projects that engage their two main communities, artists and neighbors, in art making practices. They are dedicated not to selling fine art but rather helping artists create fine art projects that go outside the box and encourage participation. The gallery has so far fueled projects such as Sentence Drawing Sentence, curated by George Pfau and Alex Pratt, and Bingo Party Fundraiser, curated by Adam Green, Scott Green and Kari Marboe. We look forward to producing more art shows that encourage community education, creation, and integration in 2009.
